Description
Lobelia cardinalis, also known as cardinal flower is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 4 feet tall and flowers from July to September with a red blossom.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in muck, clay or loam.
Cardinal flower can be found in our Shoreline Garden Kit because it both stabilizes the soil and attracts native butterflies and pollinators.
