Bottle Gentian, Gentiana andrewsii

Description

Gentiana andrewsii, also known as bottle gentian is a perennial wildflower native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 2 feet tall and flowers from August to October with a blue blossom.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand.

Bottle gentian can be found in our Shoreline Garden Kit because it both stabilizes the soil and attracts native butterflies and pollinators.
