Brown Fox Sedge, Carex Vulpinoidea

Description

Carex vulpinoidea, also known as brown fox sedge is a perennial sedge native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 2 feet tall and thrives and blooms in cool weather.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand.

Brown fox sedge can be found in our Shoreline Garden Kit because it both stabilizes the soil and attracts native butterflies and pollinators.
