Fox Sedge, Carex Stipata

Description

Carex stipata, also known as fox sedge is a perennial sedge native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 3 feet tall and thrives and blooms in cool weather.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, wet soil and will grow in clay, loam or sand.

Fox sedge can be found in our Shoreline Garden Kit because it both stabilizes the soil and attracts native butterflies and pollinators.
