Switch Grass, Panicum Virgatum

Description

Panicum virgatum, also known as switch grass is a perennial grass native to Michigan.
Plant reaches 5 feet tall and thrives and blooms in warm weather.
It prefers full sun to partial shade, medium to wet soil and will grow in muck, clay, loam or sand.

Switch grass can be found in our Shoreline Garden Kit because it both stabilizes the soil and attracts native butterflies and pollinators.
